When do I need a roadworthy in Queensland?
Most commonly when selling a registered light vehicle, transferring registration, or re-registering an unregistered one. If you're not sure your situation needs one, call — it's a thirty-second answer.
What gets checked?
The Queensland safety standard: brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, windscreen, seatbelts, body and chassis condition and more. It's a safety inspection, not a mechanical condition report — a pre-purchase inspection is the deeper look.
What happens if it fails?
You get a written list of what failed and a window to have it rectified and re-inspected. Since we can do the repairs here, most fails become a pass without the certificate process starting over.
